Some of New Zealand's best game fishing can be found just off the coast of Mercury Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula.
Species caught in the area include Striped, Blue and Black Marlin, Broadbill, Yellowfin Tuna, Mako Sharks, Kingfish, Mahi Mahi and Hapuka (Grouper). Other smaller species available include Snapper, Kahawai, Trevally and John Dory.
Mamma Mia! is fully setup for game fishing using lures and live bait and all top-of-the-range Shimano tackle is supplied. Children are welcome fishermen.
Pricing
NZ$ 1100 for 8 hours on the water with a maximum of 6 anglers. Extra hours charged at NZ$ 100 per hour.
An Italian-style picnic lunch with a glass of champagne is available on request for NZ$ 50 per person.
